California State Parks Central Valley District is hiring a park manager for Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. This position supervises a diverse team and stewards an operating railroad with over 128 years of railroad history, including historic buildings and rolling stock.
Job duties include managing facilities, visitor services, interpretation and education, and organizing special events and projects, while working closely with the nonprofit cooperating association California State Railroad Museum Foundation. This position also works with district leadership and ensures protection of cultural, natural, and recreational resources, consistency with California State Parks guidelines, and compliance with the Federal Railroad Administration.
