Volunteer at Redwood National and State Parks
Become a Volunteer at Redwood National and State Parks
Redwood National and State Parks is a partnership between four breathtaking parks: Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, and Redwood National Park. Volunteers work side-by-side with National Park Service, California State Parks, and Redwood Parks Conservancy employees, helping care for our parks in a variety of ways, including enhancing visitor services and helping protect and preserve park resources. You can apply through the National Park Service volunteer program at www.volunteer.gov.
Whether you wish to serve as a campground host, support facilities and trail maintenance, or provide information to the public at one of our visitor centers, your generous service helps keep our parks running. Whatever the task, volunteers are true stewards of our natural and cultural heritage! Volunteers range in age from teenagers to senior citizens. They come from all over the United States and the world, bringing different backgrounds, skills, and talents that enrich our park programs. Some positions provide RV pads with full hook-ups in exchange for 32-hours-per week of volunteer work. We also encourage and welcome local community members of all ages to volunteer throughout the year—whether one or two days a week year-round in a park visitor center or one day a year at park cleanup events.
