Coastal Wildflower Day

Join us on Sunday, May 4 as we plant seeds for a vibrant future atHalf Moon Bay State Beach’s annual Coastal Wildflower Day! The festivities will run from 10 am - 2 pm in the southernmost parking lot of Venice Beach, located at the end of Venice Blvd in Half Moon Bay.

This community celebration will feature local food vendors like Alebrije’s Oaxacan Food Truck and FishWife Sweets, performances by local musicians including the Half Moon Bay High School Jazz Band, and a number of community organizations sharing resources, fun crafts, and activities! In addition, we will also have guided walks led by State Parks staff, a sheet mulching demonstration with an opportunity to volunteer, and several raffle drawings!

If you pick up a "passport" at the Coastside State Parks Association booth and fill it up with stamps from our partner booths, you can go home with a little something to help you plant your own seeds at home! Or you can purchase a mature plant that's ready to be put into the ground, grown by our very own native plant nursery! More information about the schedule of these events and performances will be posted on our website:  www.coastalwildflowerday.org.
