Overview
San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park, east of Escondido, honors the soldiers who fought with the U.S. and Californio forces on December 6, 1846 in the midst of the Mexican-American War. The park is located next to the San Diego Wild Animal Park, at 15808 San Pasqual Valley Road, 8 miles south of Escondido on Highway 78. Phone 760-737-2201.Exhibits/Programs
The visitor center is generally accessible, but some assistance may be needed at the entry. Most of the exhibits are accessible. Restrooms are generally accessible. Parking: Designated accessible parking is available. The route of travel from the parking lot is generally accessible.
