California State Parks announced that the department is classifying and naming an 855 acre state property currently known as Wildwood Canyon Park Property in San Bernardino County. The classification will inform park planning for the property, including recreation, cultural and natural resource management.

The park is one of California’s natural gems located approximately 75 miles east of Los Angeles and 25 miles east of San Bernardino and Riverside. It is currently open for day use and has welcomed hikers, equestrians and bicyclists since 2003. The classification process is expected to be completed within a one-year timeframe. California State Parks looks forward to embarking on this journey with the public, California Native American tribes, and other stakeholders to ensure the park remains a cherished and accessible destination for all visitors.
