Tryouts

2025 Information

All new participants MUST complete a tryout in order to participate (even if you have been a JG in another program).

The 2025 tryouts are currently May 24th, May 31st and June 7th at Refugio State Beach. Tryouts will begin at 0900 and conclude at 1400.

Please report to Refugio Tower 1 at least 15 minutes before your time slot.

The tryout consits of:

- 100 yard swim in under 3 minutes

- 10 yard underwater swim

- 3 minutes of treading water.
