To provide knowledge, empowerment, and inspiration through collaboration, consulting, and the delivery of exceptional training programs.

Training Section Services

Collaborate and consult with department management on a systematic approach to improving organizational and individual performance and productivity.

Develop an annual Training and Development Plan.

Inform employees of training and development opportunities.

Maintain liaison with the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission on Peace Officer training.

Evaluate training and performance-support programs and provide recommendations to the Director’s Office.

Coordinate mandatory classes per statute or policy for DPR staff.

Maintain the Department’s Learning Management System (LMS) FOCUS.
