Orienteering

We have a 1 mile orienteering course for Doheny, San Clemente and San Mateo campgrounds. Contact Liz Carson liz.carson@parks.ca.gov to get a copy of the leader and participant guides.  

Eagle Projects

California State Parks Orange Coast District is partnering with local Scouting America troops on a series of Eagle Scout projects focused on small but meaningful improvements throughout the park. For more information on any of the available projects listed below, contact Liz Carson at liz.carson@parks.ca.gov

  • Crystal Cove - Purchase and install new binoculars for Treasure Cove
  • Crystal Cove - build a bench for Pelican Point
  • Doheny - Upgrade bulletin boards with magnetic dry erase boards
  • Doheny - Repair or Replace bulletin board covers with new paint, plexiglass and locks
  • San Clemente - Build counter height table out of reclaimed redwood boards     
  • San Mateo - Build portable bulletin boards with magnetic dry erase board
  • San Onofre - Build bench for Trail 6 overlook 
  • San Onofre  - Build & paint new wooden frames and purchase new interpretive panels out of LVP for Trails 1 -6
