Park Rules
The Department of Parks and Recreation has established rules and regulations to protect park areas for your enjoyment now and in the future. To insure your visit is pleasant and safe, please observe the following:
Pets are allowed only in developed areas. They must be on leash at all times and are not to be left unattended. They are not allowed on the swim beaches at Windy Cove and at Seven Mile Slough.
Loaded Firearms and Hunting are not allowed at Brannan Island State Recreation Area.
Plants and Flowers are protected by law and their removal is not allowed.
Firewood collection in the park is not permitted. Firewood may be purchased from the Camp Host and at the entrance station.
Fires are allowed only in the designated fire rings or barbecues. Ground fires are not permitted.
Bicycle riders and passengers under age 18 must wear a helmet.
Peace and Quiet is observed from 10 PM to 8 AM. No generators from 8 PM to 10 AM. No loud radios at any time.
Archeological and Geographical Features are protected and disturbing or collecting is not allowed.
Litter is unsightly and can be hazardous to wildlife. Use trash receptacles.
Park Animals are not to be fed nor disturbed. Report any unusual animal behavior to Rangers.
Vehicle Operation must be confined to designated roads. The speed limit in the campground is 15 miles per hour. No one may ride in the back of a truck or pick-up without seatbelts. No one may ride in a boat being towed.
Campsite Use must be paid in advance, by reservation or daily payment before 12 PM. Check-out time is 12 PM.
Camping Limit is 30 calendar days per year, 15 days during the peak season.
Please clean up after yourself so that others may enjoy the park.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in some day-use areas. Visitors are encouraged to inquire with local park employees for specific rules and regulations.
