SACRAMENTO – This Veterans Day, Nov. 11, California State Parks invites U.S. service members and their families to enjoy free admission to 142 state parks throughout California in gratitude for their service to our nation.

More than $2.6 Million Invested to Bring Art into California’s Parks

SACRAMENTO — California State Parks, the California Arts Council and Parks California today announced more than $2.6 million in community grants to organizations statewide as part of their Arts in California Parks partnership. These funds will enable local nonprofit, community and tribal organizations to bring music, dance, storytelling, visual art and cultural programs into parks, transforming them into vibrant spaces that foster creativity, honor cultural heritage and strengthen community connections.

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park Comes Alive With Color, Culture and Community for Día de los Muertos

SAN DIEGO — California State Park’s Old Town San Diego State Historic Park (SHP) invites visitors of all ages to a lively and meaningful Dia de los Muertos celebration on Nov. 1 and 2. This year’s free, family-friendly eventoffers more ways than ever to experience the rich traditions of this beloved holiday – from hands-on crafts, community altars and local artwork, to historical tours and live performances, and more. The event is being hosted with support from the Boosters of Old Town, the Old Town Chamber of Commerce and community partners.
