Esselen Tribe of Monterey County and California State Parks Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Enhanced Collaboration in Monterey District State Parks

PACIFIC GROVE — California State Parks and the Esselen Tribe of Monterey County (Esselen) celebrated the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to share in the stewardship of 18 state parks within the tribe’s ancestral lands during a ceremony Jan. 31 at Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds.
