Overview
Sonoma State Historic Park includes California’s 1823 Sonoma Mission, the Victorian home of Mexican General Mariano Vallejo, and several other historic structures with accessible features as described below. Sonoma City Bike Trail: An approximately 0.3-mile segment of the Sonoma City Bike Trail is located within the park. This asphalt surfaced trail is approximately 6 feet wide and 1.5 miles total in length. The trail segment within the park is accessed from the Casa Grande Lot, located off 1st Street E, behind the Barracks building.Exhibits/Programs
Numerous historic buildings are part of this downtown Sonoma park. Historic doors and thresholds may require some assistance, but some structures are accessible as described. An information kiosk on the city square is on an accessible path of travel. The Casa Grande Lot, located off 1st Street E, behind the Barracks building, has five accessible parking stalls available; parking is free. A generally accessible unisex restroom is available in an outbuilding behind the Barracks building.Barracks: The first floor includes exhibits, a video room and a store. They are generally accessible. Assistance is available to reach sales items. A captioned video tour is available for viewing.
Sonoma Mission: The chapel and reconstruction room are generally accessible, and the courtyard grounds are usable.
Toscano Hotel: The front parlor exhibits are generally accessible, and the side alcove exhibits are usable. Aisle and turn space are limited.
