Overview

Prairie City State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) is set against rolling hills at the base of the Sierra Nevada and is open year-round (closed Wednesdays). It includes 836 acres of motorcycle, all-terrain vehicle and four-wheel drive open areas along with picnic areas, staging areas, and viewing areas. Picnic Area

Zone 1: Shaded accessible picnicking is available at the Quarter Midget Track, Environmental Training Center, and Main Staging Area. Parking and routes to the picnic sites within these areas are accessible. Restrooms available in these areas are accessible and include parking.

Zone 2: Shaded accessible picnicking is available at the Kid’s MX Tracks and Overlook Area. Parking and routes to the picnic sites within these areas are accessible. Restrooms available in the Kid’s MX Tracks area are accessible and include parking.

Zone 4: Shaded accessible picnicking is available at the 4x4 Obstacle Course, 4x4 Staging Area (Memorial Point), 4x4 Track, and Rock N’ Roller. Parking and routes to the picnic sites within these areas are accessible. Restrooms available in the 4x4 Obstacle Course area, 4x4 Staging Area, 4x4 Track, and Rock N’ Roller are accessible and include parking.

Other Information

Zone 1: Accessible bleacher seating is available overlooking the Intermediate MX Track and Quarter Midget Track. Parking and routes to the seating are accessible. Restrooms available in these areas are accessible and include parking. Accessible parking and restrooms are also available in the Kart Pit area.

Zone 3: When it is open, accessible bleacher seating is available overlooking the Pro-Am MX Track, accessed from the Pro-Am MX Pit. Parking and routes to the seating are accessible. Restrooms available in the Pro-Am MX Pit are accessible and include parking. Accessible bleacher seating is also available overlooking the MX Practice Track and ATV Practice Track, accessed from the Main Staging Area in Zone 1. Parking and route to the bleachers for the ATV Practice Track are accessible. Route to the bleachers for the MX Practice Track is accessible; parking is a mixture of compacted soil and aggregate. Restrooms available in the Main Staging Area are accessible and include parking.

Zone 4: Accessible bleacher seating is available overlooking the 4x4 Track, accessed from the 4x4 Staging Area. Parking and routes to the seating are accessible. Restrooms available in the 4x4 Staging Area are accessible and include parking.
