Division of Boating and Waterways Now Accepting Grant Applications to Keep California’s Waterways Clean - Grant Applications Due Monday, Oct. 12, 2020

The Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) is now accepting grant applications for the Clean Vessel Act Education and Outreach Grant Program. A maximum of $330,000 of federal funding per targeted region is available to organizations for educating Southern California coastal and San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary boaters about proper vessel sewage disposal, the use of pumpout facilities and how to monitor pumpout stations in the identified regions. The deadline to submit applications is Monday, Oct. 12, 2020, before 10 a.m.

California State Parks Accepting Applications for Round 4 of the Competitive Statewide Park Program

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California State Parks is now accepting applications for Round 4 of the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Grant Program funded by Proposition 68. A total of $395.3 million in competitive grant funding is available to cities, counties, nonprofit organizations, local districts and joint powers authorities to create new parks and recreational opportunities in underserved communities across California.

California State Parks Announces Proposition 68 Per Capita Allocations

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) today announced nearly $200 million available for more than 700 agencies under the Proposition 68 Per Capita Grant Program. This non-competitive grant program provides funding to local government agencies to support the rehabilitation, creation and improvement of local parks and to address deficiencies in neighborhoods lacking access to outdoor recreation facilities.

Public Comment Sought on Guidelines for $46.2 Million in Grant Funding to Improve California Communities

SACRAMENTO, Calif., - The California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) is seeking public feedback on draft guidelines for $46.2 million in grants to create and improve recreational opportunities in rural communities. Input from the public will help State Parks establish two new statewide grant programs – the Rural Recreation and Tourism Program and the Regional Park Program – in support of providing equitable access to all Californians.

Division of Boating and Waterways Offers $3.75 Million in Grants to Enhance Public Safety and Protect California’s Waterways

Tuesday, March 3, 2020

The Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) is now accepting grant applications to help local public entities enhance safety on California’s waterways, and protect them from abandoned and unwanted vessels. The application period for the competitive grant programs, Boating Safety and Enforcement Equipment (BSEE) and Surrendered and Abandoned Vessel Exchange (SAVE), is open from March 16 through April 16, 2020. Interested applicants are encouraged to review the grant guidelines and participate in an applicant workshop.

Division of Boating and Waterways Offers Grants to Help Keep California’s Waterways Clean - $840,000 available for the deployment of floating restrooms

Monday, December 23, 2019

The Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) is now accepting grant applications from public government agencies for the purchase and deployment of floating restrooms on California waterways. Interested applicants should review the grant guidelines and submit a grant application to DBW’s office by Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020 at 5 p.m. PST.

California State Parks Seeks Public Comment on Guidelines for Two Statewide Programs Totaling $46.2M in Grant Funding

The California Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) is seeking comment on draft guidelines for applying for $46.2 million in funding from two new statewide grant programs. State Parks will hold nine public meetings throughout the state in October and November to receive public feedback for the Regional Park Program and the Rural Recreation and Tourism Program created by Proposition 68 of 2018.
