Updating How California Native American History and Heritage is Shared and Honored Through Tribal Engagement

Chaw’se Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park has long been a place of cultural gathering, interpretation, and preservation. Currently, the Park is working with Tribes to update that foundation and looking forward to how California Native American history and heritage will be shared into the future. The process is being guided by the voices of the California Native American tribes and people connected to Chaw’se, ensuring that interpretation, programs, and stewardship reflect their leadership and vision.
