Please note that tour times may be different at the Petaluma Adobe SHP (View Petaluma Adobe SHP School Tour Program Details). We offer one tour of one site per tour time, per class. We make every effort to provide tours to groups with reservations, but we cannot guarantee one due to staffing limitations. If staff is not available self-guided brochures will be provided on site.

Pricing

One tour for one class at one site is $40.00. If you want to add another tour on the same day for another site, it is an additional $10.00 on top of your $40.00 fee. Payments should be made on the day of your tour at the park site. We accept cash, card and check. Checks can be made payable to "CA Department of Parks & Recreation". If you need an invoice, please contact the park at (707)938-9560 and provide your name, school name, mailing address, and e-mail address.

Can't come to the park in-person? Learn more about the infamous Bear Flag Revolt of 1846 virtually over PORTS, powered by Zoom (view PORTS website). Knowledgeable park staff will give a full retelling of events, identify key figures, and leave participants with a finer understanding of this exciting historical event. This program follows California's History-Social Science Standards for Grade 4.

Program Details

PORTS is a virtual program; therefore, the group size is dependant on the amount of technology and space available to your school. This program works best with the classroom projecting the program on a screen from a single device. Please go to the California's Bear Flag Revolt PORTS page and check for availability starting on January 13th, 2025. View California's Bear Flag Revolt PORTS here. The average program takes about 45 minutes. This program is offered at no cost.

The Park hosts many different activities and events.
