75th Anniversary of Lifeguard Service

To honor 75 years of pubic service, Lifeguard Services are authorized to wear a special Badge and Patch.

Hosted at the Orange Coast District, by the California State Lifeguard Association, please join us to celebrate and honor California State Lifeguard's colorful 75-year history of Service, Vigilance, & Endurance. This multi-day event will not be one to miss as we commemorate this milestone anniversary of Lifeguarding in California.

Nightly activities currently being planned:

• Sunday, Aug 3: Reception, dinner, speeches, History of the State Parks Lifeguards movie, Live Music
• Monday, Aug 4: Lifeguard Legends Awards Ceremony, Dinner, Live Music
• Tuesday, Aug 5: Storytellers: Lifeguard Panel Discussions, Dinner, Live Music

Group-oriented daytime activities on Monday & Tuesday allow for more time to connect and will include:

• Golf
• Pickleball
• Backcountry Hiking
• Surfing
• Lap Swimming

Hotel room blocks as well as self-contained camping options at Huntington State Beach will be announced soon.

The 75th event will be the largest State Lifeguard Anniversary Celebration to date, and we hope you can attend several, if not just one of the nighttime events. 

Please note: The USLA National Lifeguard Championships will be August 6-9 at Huntington State Beach. Plan for a full week of lifeguard engagement & competition. www.uslanationals.org
