K-9 Pyro is a German Shepherd, who was born in Poland on October 20, 2025. K-9 Pyro and his partner, State Park Peace Officer (Lifeguard) Matthew Sage, are assigned to the Orange Coast District. K-9 Pyro is dual purpose K-9 trained in patrol apprehension and explosive detection. K-9 Pyro is super active and loves playing with his favorite ball on a rope and training with Officer Sage. When not at work, K-9 Pyro loves spending time on his morning walks, playing fetch and finding a cold place to lay down.
