Digital Education Program
Do you like history? Have you always wanted to learn all about the past and the people who came before you? Well now, Old Town San Diego State Historic Park has some fun and interactive options for children to learn all about San Diego's past!

During the Fall and Spring we offer Stop! Hammer Time! Blacksmithing in 19th Century San Diego.
Step into the past as you follow us on an awesome adventure through an 1800 blacksmith shop at Old Town Old town San Diego State Historic Park. In this program students can discover the history, origins, and purpose of blacksmithing, create their own brand through an interactive activity, and witness a live blacksmithing demonstration from the comfort of your classroom. Sign up today to learn everything about blacksmithing in the 1800s and reserve the opportunity to speak with a real blacksmith. This program includes pre-visit and follow-up classroom activities and is designed for grades 3-6.
