Now,  the California State Capitol Museum has moved to improve your online experience by providing "multi-rate videos" that have undergone an encoding process. This process creates one video file with multiple streams, optimized for each type of viewer connection.

Our new multi-rate videos make it easier for our Internet audience,  because you no longer have to know your connection speed in order to receive the most appropriate streaming video. These videos also have multiple speeds and multiple resolutions which will make for better viewing with better clarity.
