SACRAMENTO – California State Parks’ Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) is now accepting letters of intent from public agencies interested in grant funding for projects that address the impacts of coastal erosion on California’s ocean and bay shorelines. DBW invites applications for local assistance grants through its Shoreline Erosion Control Program and Public Beach Restoration Program.

Division of Boating and Waterways Offers Grants for Floating Restrooms to Help Keep California’s Waterways Clean

SACRAMENTO – California State Parks’ Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) is now accepting grant applications from government agencies for the purchase and deployment of floating restrooms on lakes and reservoirs that have limited landside access. Federal and state funding totaling $1.2 million is available for approximately four ADA-compliant floating restrooms. Eligible applicants are encouraged to submit a grant application to DBW by noon (PST) Monday, Dec. 19.

More than $2.6 Million Invested to Bring Art into California’s Parks

SACRAMENTO — California State Parks, the California Arts Council and Parks California today announced more than $2.6 million in community grants to organizations statewide as part of their Arts in California Parks partnership. SACRAMENTO – California State Parks’ Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division announced today more than $23 million in final awards for the 2025 Grants and Cooperative Agreements program (Grants program). SACRAMENTO — California State Parks’ Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) is now accepting grant applications from organizations that teach on-the-water boating safety education to the public. Approximately $1.4 million in Aquatic Center Education Program grants is available to local public agencies, nonprofit organizations and colleges/universities operating within California. The deadline to apply is Friday, Oct. 24 at noon.

SACRAMENTO California State Parks’ Division of Boating and Waterways (DBW) today announced the availability of grant funding to help prevent the further spread of quagga and zebra mussels into California’s waterways. Funded by the California Mussel Fee Sticker (also known as the Quagga Sticker), the Quagga and Zebra (QZ) Mussel Infestation Prevention Grant Program expects to award up to $2 million across eligible applicants. Applications open Monday, March 10, and must be received by April 18, 2025, by 5 p.m. PDT.

Parks California Awards $1 Million to more than 30 Organizations

SACRAMENTO – Parks California and California State Parks today announced grants to 31 organizations throughout California, totaling more than $1 million to improve access to state parks and create memorable nature experiences. Through Parks California’s Route to Parks grant program, these funds will help more than 7,700 people create lasting memories at state parks in 2025.

Office of Historic Preservation Announces New California Maritime Heritage Grants Program

SACRAMENTO —The California Office of Historic Preservation (OHP) is excited to announce nearly $330,000 is available through a new grant program for the preservation and interpretation of California’s irreplaceable maritime heritage. OHP is now accepting applications for the grants, which are funded by the National Park Service (NPS) through the National Maritime Heritage Grants Program for the stewardship and preservation of historical and archaeological resources associated with the maritime history of California.
