Saturday’s Music Festival at Huntington State Beach Cancelled Due to Safety Concerns

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — California State Parks today announced that “The Like Totally Music Festival” scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 11, at Huntington State Beach has been cancelled. The production company did not provide adequate safety documentation for the main stage, as required by California State Parks and the Office of the State Fire Marshal. 

More than 5,000 people were expected to attend the 80s themed musical festival, which included artists Public Image, Ltd, Lexicon of ABC and others. Ticket holders are encouraged to contact the promoter, Sellout Productions, at contact@liketotallyfestival.com or (888) 878-2074.

California’s state park system serves as a venue for a variety of events, including weddings, concerts, marathons, etc. Any person or group is welcome to use a state park for an event, so long as they meet the special requirements of California State Parks. The department follows standard protocols and coordinates with local, state and federal law enforcement partners to best protect the public.
