About Dos Rios
Dos Rios opened in June 2024 as California’s newest state park, the first addition to the system since 2014. Visitors who came during the opening months will now notice several improvements, including a new entrance kiosk, a grassy field, a Welcome Center and an elevated deck that offers views of the pond. The park also has 15 miles of trails to explore, including trails open to dogs and bicycles.

More changes are planned, and State Parks is seeking public input as Dos Rios develops its general plan. The public is invited to share ideas about the park’s future at PlanDosRios.org or in person during Together in the Park.

Dos Rios is the largest public-private floodplain restoration project in California history and is restoring important habitat. The park is open Friday through Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on many holidays – including Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11. Information about special events, guided backcountry hikes and guided tours is available at parks.ca.gov/DosRios.
