Walk times and details
9:00 a.m. — Bight Beach Nature Walk & BioBlitz
Join us for a 3-mile round-trip walk to Bight Beach to observe plants, birds, and other wildlife. We’ll document our finds using iNaturalist and add them to the Biodiversity Week Project.
10:00 a.m. — Family-Friendly Nature Walk & BioBlitz
Join us for a ½-mile walk for the whole family. We’ll talk about how to identify plants, how to photograph grasses for identification on iNaturalist, and fun facts about some of the plants we find. We’ll also look for insects and other signs of biodiversity.
11:00 a.m. — Marine Education Center Area Walk & BioBlitz
Join us for a short, ¼-mile walk exploring nature near the Marine Education Center. We’ll use iNaturalist to document our observations and add them to the Biodiversity Week Project.
1:00 p.m. — Coastal Dunes Walk
Join us on September 5th for a walk exploring coastal dune plants and ecology, with a focus on the unique adaptations that help plants thrive in dune habitats. We’ll use iNaturalist to document our observations and add them to the Biodiversity Week Project.
