California State Parks - Discover California's winter wonderland!

Lake Alpine and Hope Valley provide cross-country skiing and groomed snowmobile trails that offer excellent recreational opportunities for the avid winter enthusiast.  Carson Pass is known for its popular cross-country ski and snowshoe area.

California State Parks operates 21 SNO-PARK sites that provide access to snow play areas, cross-country ski locales and snowmobile trails. Leaves No Trace, a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and inspiring responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships, encourages wilderness visitors to leave what they find in the wild and to be considerate of other visitors.
