Locomotive Cup

This child's cup, with a depiction of an unknown locomotive, was recovered from the Cooper- Molera adobe in Monterey, California. Made from white earthenware with a transfer print image of an early train, the cup stands at 2 3/4th inches high and has a handle. It is estimated to be put in c.1820s-1880s and of English manufacture.
