The Malibu Creek Docent Association's primary goal is to provide quality interpretive publications and programs about the natural history and habitats of the park as well as to operate the park Visitor Center.
The docents are a public service organization, where fund raising is a means to the end, but not the end in itself. This partnership between state parks and the association provides critical funding and support for docents to operate the park's backcountry Visitor Center, lead nature hikes for visitors, local schools and inner city families, and assist with ranger campfire programs.
Malibu Creek Docent Association has proven itself to be a valuable ally to the parks, visitors and staff at Malibu Creek State Park. Join them by becoming a member or by visiting their website at
