Description: Pokemon Go meets Science - join us as we help document the wildflowers in Malibu Creek!
Join us for a Wildflower BioBlitz at Malibu Creek State Park. Participants will learn how to observe and document native wildflowers, then head out on their own to find and record as many different species as possible using iNaturalist. Observations help us better understand seasonal blooms and plant diversity in the park.
This is a mostly self-guided experience with about 30-45 minute introduction.
Parking & Meeting: Park at Malibu Creek State Park main trailhead parking lot. We will meet near the restrooms.
Need: Phone with the app "iNaturalist Classic" downloaded beforehand. Bring water, snacks, and bring your lunch if you want to eat out on the trail!
