MLK Day Habitat Restoration
At Alice Eastwood Group Camp from 10am to 12pm
Join our natural resource volunteers in a service project on Martin Luther King Jr Day! They will be pulling out invasive French broom along the Alice Eastwood Trail below the group campground.
Participants will need to hike down to meet our volunteers at the campground. Park at either the lot next to the Alice Eastwood gate (adjacent to 757 Panoramic Highway) and walk down the Alice Eastwood Road or park at the Sierra Trail Trailhead on Panoramic Highway and hike down the Sierra Trail. We suggest making a day of it and packing a picnic to enjoy after the service project and then taking some time to explore the lovely trails nearby!
Tools will be provided, but participants should bring their own gloves. Participants should also bring drinking water and wear sturdy shoes. Long sleeves and long pants are recommended.
