First Day Hike

Get outside on New Year’s Day for a hike into Hagen Canyon Natural Preserve! Join a Park Ranger for a 3.5-mile loop hike to explore the colorful, unique rock formations of Hagen Canyon, old filming locations, and a 90-foot-tall dry waterfall!

When: January 1, 2026 at 9:00 A.M.

Where: Hagen Canyon parking area on Abbott Drive just west of Highway 14

This is a moderate hike with uneven terrain and unstable footing. Proper footwear is required. Plan on two hours. Bring water, snacks, and sun protection. No dogs allowed outside of parking area.
