9/13/2025    Mount Tamalpais State Park

Biodiversity by Firelight

7pm at the Pantoll Stage in the Pantoll Campground

Explore the biodiversity of Mount Tamalpais by firelight (and possibly by black light!) from the comfort of a camp chair with this CA Biodiversity Day campfire program. Both an environmental scientist and a State Park Interpreter will be there to share the wonderful variety of life found on Mt Tam and to answer your questions about why the San Francisco Bay Area is such a biodiversity hotspot.

Campers and day use visitors welcome! Campsites are first-come, first-served walk-up sites ($25 per night regular). Day-use parking at Pantoll is $8 per vehicle (California State Parks annual and Library passes accepted).

The Pantoll Stage area has no seating, so please bring your own camp chairs. Please also bring a flashlight or headlamp as it will be getting dark when the program finishes. Food, drinks, and well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome.
