Learn to Canoe at Brannan Island SRA

Have you ever wanted to ride the waves? To paddle downriver? To sail the seven sloughs? Then join Parks staff on Saturday, December 6th from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. for a Learn to Canoe program at Brannan Island State Recreation Area! Meet at the swim beach for an engaging presentation on how to pilot a canoe, key safety points, and proper oar strokes, before hitting the water for a guided paddle led by our State Park interpreteters. Equipment, including canoes, paddles, and life vests, will be provided.

There is no cost to participate in the program, but admission to BISRA is $10 per vehicle. (Pro Tip: Check out a California State Parks pass from your local library for FREE ADMISSION to the park!)
