Holidays at Empire Mine

On Saturday, December 6th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., enjoy festive music, chestnut roasting, candle dipping and tin punching, historic children's games, mine yard demonstrations and more on the beautifully decorated historic grounds of Empire Mine State Historic Park!

Tell Santa what's on your wish list in the warmly decorated Clubhouse, and enjoy a Cornish Pasty with Christmas cookies and hot drinks for dessert.

Doors open at 10 a.m.; event begins at 11 a.m. Entry is $5 per person; age 5 and under are free. Fourth Graders and their families get in free with the California State Parks Adventure Pass (visit www.parks.ca.gov/AdventurePass for info).

This annual event is organized in cooperation with the Sierra Gold Parks Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports educational and interpretive programs for the three California State Parks in Western Nevada County.
