The K-12 Access program for the Inland Empire District is dedicated to providing equitable educational opportunities for all K-12 students by connecting them with the rich natural, cultural, and historical resources of the District’s Parks. Through the PORTS program, students can engage in interactive virtual field trips and live sessions with park rangers, bringing the beauty and significance of the parks directly into classrooms, no matter their location. The program also offers in-person field trips and curriculum-correlated educational materials, ensuring that every student can benefit from hands-on learning experiences. By partnering with schools and community organizations, the K-12 Access program strives to remove barriers and expand access, so that all students, especially those in underserved or remote areas, can explore and learn from our State Parks.
