Coloma, CA.-Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park will host a weekend holiday celebration focused on the Historic Houses located in Coloma. The event will take place on Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and is open to all visitors.

Visitors will walk through and discover the history behind the thirteen historic houses located throughout the park with the help of interpreters dressed in period attire. James Marshall’s Cabin, Monroe House, Thomas House, Old Coloma Schoolhouse, and the churches are just a few to be presented on the tour.

In addition, there will be Wreath Making, Musicians, Carolers, Wagon Rides, Campfire, Cookie Decorating, and Refreshments. Bring your family and friends, and join us for an old fashioned Christmas in Coloma.

“Historic Holiday Houses” is presented by Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park and the Gold Discovery Park Association. Parking is $8 per vehicle. House Tour is $7 per person (age 5 & under free). For more information, please call (530) 622-3470.

Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park is located in Coloma, on Hwy. 49, between Placerville and Auburn, only one hour from Sacramento.

Note: No dogs will be allowed in the event except certified service dogs.
