Join Asilomar State Parks Environmental Resources Staff, Amanda Preece, for a fun evening of all things avian! For those of us lucky enough to live in Monterey County, we have the opportunity to see up to 498 different bird species throughout the many varied habitats of the county. At Asilomar, we enjoy 236 different bird species, many of the same ones that may reside in your backyard. As the world becomes increasingly urbanized, we need to think up ways to help the birds that are trying to live in our yards and city parks. Amanda will present six novel yet easy ways to help your backyard birds, increase your appreciation of them, and give you special insight into the challenges they face. Special feathered guests with Monterey Peninsula falconer, Antonio Balestreri, will be featured as well.
