Volunteer - Campground, Visitor Information, Mounted Assistance and Maintenance 

Do you enjoy the outdoors? Do you want to support State Parks and connect with visitors and the local community? You can become a volunteer in Humboldt Redwoods, Grizzly Creek, Richardson Grove, Sinkyone Wilderness State Park, Standish Hickey, or Benbow State Recreation Area. All you need to do is visit one of our volunteer portals by clicking one of the links below!

Become a Long-Term Natural Resource Volunteer

Are you passionate about our local ecosystems? Become a long-term natural resource volunteer. Whether it’s native plant management to invasive ivy removal, monitoring, and trail cleanups, natural resource volunteers support the health of our State Parks and gain valuable professional experience. As a long-term volunteer you can take part in specialized training allowing you to work on individual projects that match your schedule. By donating to the Humboldt Redwoods Interpretive Association ( http://humboldtredwoods.org/ ) you can support interpretive programing and other park stewardship. By donation to Save the Redwoods League (https://www.savetheredwoods.org/) you can learn support their conservation areas, and find out more ways to get involved in protecting our redwood parks.

If you like to visit California State Parks frequently, buy a parks pass at the Pass Sales site (https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1049 ) an excellent way to save money and support state parks.
