Park: Governor's Mansion SHP

See the Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park in a whole new light...Lights Out! This unique Halloween “Mansion After Dark” event will highlight the families who lived at the mansion. For a “Lights Out” adventure, be prepared for bats, great pumpkins, coffins and Halloween ghost tales in the dark.

The “Mansion After Dark” event will take place on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27 and 28, from 6:00 -8:30 p.m. Special event admission: $5.00 Adults, $3.00 for Youths 6-16, and Free for Children 5 and younger.

Beginning with Governor George Pardee in 1903, the stately Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park served as the home of 13 California governors until 1967, when then-Governor Ronald Reagan became the last to live there. Operated by California State Parks with financial assistance from the non-profit Sacramento Historic Sites Association, the Governor’s Mansion is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
