Perris, Calif.–California State Parks will accept public comment regarding a future aerial trail system (zipline) concession project at Lake Perris State Recreation Area (SRA) on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., at the Lake View Pavilion, Parking Lot 9, 17801 Lake Perris Drive, Perris, California 92571.

The aerial trail system will be developed and operated by a private entity through a competitively bid concession contract.  The purpose of this meeting is to solicit public input and ideas for the project.  Public comment will be considered in the preparation of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from qualified parties to develop, operate and maintain an aerial trail system to enhance park visitors’ recreational experience and provide alternate access to Alessandro Island.  The RFP will satisfy California statutory requirements for concession contracts to be subject to a competitive bid process.

For further information regarding Lake Perris SRA or the concession operation, please contact Kelly Elliott, Inland Empire District Superintendent at (951) 940-5622, email kelly.elliott@parks.ca.gov or Teresa Montijo, Concession Program Manager at (916) 653-7733, email Teresa.Montijo@parks.ca.gov.
