Oroville, CA. - Officials at the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area announced that the launch ramps at Bidwell Canyon, Lime Saddle and Spillway are all open for boat launching.
Though Bidwell Canyon had re-opened a few weeks ago following heavy rains, Lime Saddle’s opening shortly thereafter provided for more recreational opportunities by easing access to the north end of the lake. At the Spillway Ramp, repairs to an eroded section of the ramp have been completed allowing for both launching and the return of the courtesy dock to make for easier and safer public access.
The Bidwell Marina is still providing a courtesy shuttle from the Bidwell Canyon Launch Ramp Area to the Bidwell Marina for the time being.
To confirm public accessibility of Lake Oroville recreational opportunities, call the Lake Oroville Visitor Center at 530-538-2219.
