Drought Conditions Force Closure of Restrooms at Butano State Park
(PESCADERO, Calif.).– In response to drought conditions that are currently affecting the water supply for Butano State Park, California State Parks will be closing the campground restroom facilities that provide flush toilets. Portable no-flush toilet units will be made available.
Potable drinking water will continue to be available at limited locations throughout the campground.
These measures are in place so that resources are protected and camping can continue to be offered. Visitors that would like to cancel reservations may call 1-800-444-7275.
State Parks apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause visitors and asks them to conserve water during this drought. Visitors can find drought updates and any future changes that may affect their visit on the park website or by calling (650) 879-2040.
