For thousands of years, the Kumeyaay people lived in parts of what is now known as Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. This film explores the resiliency of these “first people” and their relationship with the dynamic and sometimes harsh environment in which they lived. It examines how their culture, tools and techniques are being passed along to modern generations, preserving this rich heritage.
