Take a tour with State Parks! Join a State Park staff person for an hour-long tour - "The Asilomar Ramble".
This hour-long, park-led tour provides a wealth of knowledge about the coastal refuge, and you will walk away with a new perspective or a renewed appreciation of Asilomar's natural and cultural history. Our most popular tour, the "Ramble" is an overview of the beginnings of Asilomar, Julia Morgan Architecture, and Natural Forest and Dune Preserve information.
Easy walk over paths and roadways covering the "Historic Core" of the conference grounds and the Dunes Boardwalk.
Tour is free of charge, lasts approximately 1 hour.
Group size is limited to 20 people. Meet at the Phoebe Apperson Hearst Social Hall (Registration Building). NOTE: Tours are subject to staff availability.
Following the hike, participants are invited to purchase lunch at Phoebe’s Café, located in the Phoebe Apperson Hearst Social Hall.
