Park: Anderson Marsh SHP
The ANDERSON MARSH INTERPRETIVE ASSOCIATION presents a morning in the Park
Come see what fall is bringing to Anderson Marsh State Historic Park & Natural Preserve
Guided Nature Walk & Ranch House Tour
Sunday, October 6th – 9am To 12pm
For Reservations please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call (707) 995-2658
We’ll meet in front of the Ranch House at 8:45am for time to experience the early morning wildlife to be found there. The guided nature walk begins at 9am, and there will be a tour of the pre-Civil War Ranch House and barn complex after the walk.
In addition to the year round animals, during the fall many mammals and birds alike are attracted to the Park because of the abundance of wild blackberries, grapes, rose hips and mistletoe berries available for food. Many migrating birds can be seen and heard in the trees or the waters of Clear Lake, Cache Creek and Anderson Marsh. Some come to winter-over or breed here; some are just stopping for a rest on their way further south. Bring your binoculars. Please, no dogs or bikes on the trails.
Join Park Docents Gae Henry and Henry Bornstein as they share their passion and knowledge about the natural, cultural and historic resources protected in the Park.
If rain cancels the walk, the Ranch House tour will begin at 9 am.
Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Hwy 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake. For more information about the guided nature walk and tour, email email@example.com or call (707) 995-2658.
