Tidepool Docent Training at Leo Carrillo State Park

Park: Leo Carrillo SP

Join the tidepool watch docents.
Help save our tidepools from being “loved to death!”
Tidepool Watch is a program where trained docents roam the beach and tidepool area and talk with Park visitors on weekend, staff the visitor center or lead school field trips. The goal of the program is to share the fragile nature of the plants and animals found in our tide pools and the need to protect them with our Park visitors.

Experience is not necessary, just a love of the Park and nature!

We will meet at the new Visitor Center and then hike through the tidepools for about two hours.  Bring water, sunscreen, sturdy, closed toed shoes, hats and clothing layers because you never know what the weather will be like.  Moderate hike, flat but slippery rocks can be challenging.  Rain cancels.  Please RSVP.
