Natural Bridges State Beach: First Day Hike- New Year's Day with the Monarchs

Park: Natural Bridges SB

Take a gentle half-mile stroll with a park docent to discover the qualities of the gently sloped, tree-filled arroyo that provides sanctuary to park visitors, ample wildlife and an overwintering population of monarch butterflies that cluster in the trees at Natural Bridges State Beach.   The monarch butterfly boardwalk is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Please leave pets at home. Begins at 2pm.

America’s State Parks First Day Hikes offer individuals and families an opportunity to begin the New Year rejuvenating and connecting with the outdoors by taking a healthy hike on January 1, 2013 at a state park. First Day Hikes offer a great way to get outside, exercise, enjoy nature and welcome the New Year with friends and family.
