Volunteer Bald Eagle counts at Lake Perris (March 9th, 2013)

Park: Lake Perris SRA

Volunteers will be stationed at vantage points around the lakes and they map and record any eagle observations during a one-hour period.

“We need all the eyes we can get helping look for eagles during these counts,” wildlife biologist Robin Eliason said. “These censuses wouldn’t be possible without our great volunteers. Plus, it’s a good excuse to get outside on a Saturday morning.

Organizers will explain everything volunteers need to do when they arrive for orientation. They should dress warmly and bring binoculars and a watch. No experience is needed.

Lake Perris volunteers should call the office for information, 951-940-5600, and meet at the Lake Perris Regional Indian Museum at 8:00 AM.
