Seven hours. Explore with Paul Johnson two of the most dramatic slot canyons of Northern Anza-Borrego to learn how they’re formed and what they reveal about the geology of the badlands. To experience the unique features of each, you’ll hike to the Calcite Canyon slot first, cut through hard sandstone, and then wind through the softer mudstone and sandstone of the Palm Wash Slot Canyon.
