Dia de los Muertos - Monterey SHP

Park: Monterey SHP

Dia de los Muertos is a day to honor your deceased loved ones and celebrate their memories.

Join collage artist and author Patrice Vecchione for a workshop to create your own ofrenda (altar) at the Cooper-Molera Adobe, Monterey Historic State Park, Saturday, October 20, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

We will learn about the history of el Dia de los Muertos and the making of ofrendas. We will write about the ones we miss. And each participant will make and decorate an ofrenda to take home.

Our ofrenda workshop is a family activity for ages 10 and older. Children 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult attending the wokshop.

Class size: 20 maximum. Workshop Fee: $45.00 per person; includes box and basic materials.

Her collages have been displayed in galleries and appear on book jackets.
