Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park -- 140th Anniversary Celebration

Join us on Saturday, November 17, 2012, for a day-long celebration of the 140th anniversary of Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park. This free event will include grounds tours, information booths, local authors, live music, and light refreshments. We will also debut a new video of the beginning chapter of the lighthouse restoration project.

Last fall the first phase of the restoration began with the removal of the First Order Fresnel Lens from the tower. It is currently on display in the Fog Signal Building. While this means there will not be an evening lighting ceremony, the day will be fun and informative for all.  Bring your picnic, and a friend to this all age event suitable for the whole family.
